How to Update AOL Mail Settings in 3 steps.

mail settings of AOL in 3 simple steps.

According to your every need, the settings of AOL can be customized. From writing your

emails to managing your inbox and the general look of your inbox. Each and every aspect

of the AOL mail can be customized. You can set your inbox exactly how you feel.

1. Sign in to your AOL account.
   
   
2. In the Username, navigate through Options>Mail settings.
   
   
3. In that, there will be options like General, Compose, Filter, Calender, Ads.
   
   
4. Click any one of the options for which you want to change.

There are General Settings which you can update. Some of them are as follows.

Today on AOL: Users can select this option to view the news, messages, and tips about email.

Sender Name Display:

Users can select this to display the name of the sender or the email address.  

Reading: One can select how to view the messages that are displayed.

New Mail: Users can select the sound when a new email arrives.

Inbox Style: Select which style of Inbox that you want.

Mail Away Settings: Enable the settings of Away Messages.

Contacts: You can select how the contacts are displayed on the screen. 

Update your Compose Settings.

Cc/Bcc: Users can select which one they want to be displayed. 

Default Compose Mode:

You can select which type of Compose screen you want to be displayed on the screen.

There are mainly three types of this display.

1. You can use the pop-up screen to write mail.
   
   
2. You can compose a mail-in a full plane window.
   
   
3. You can write an email in a separate window.
   
   

Rich Text/HTML: You can use different types of font and color at your display.

Display Name: This is simple. You can choose which names you want to be displayed. 

Sending: There are three options for this.

1. You can select if you want to check the grammar of the email before sending it.
   
   
2. You can select the option of adding emails automatically to the website.
   
   
3.  You can select if you want this particular info to appear on another page.
   
   

Update the settings of your span

You can control the Inbox by taking care of the spam list and keeping it updated.

1. Open the AOL email and select the Spam Settings option.
   
   
2. There is an option there called Block Mail from Addresses I specify”
   
   
3. Now click the icon option. 
   
   
4. If you want to unblock the email address click on the X icon.
   
   

AOL mail shows ads and it can be removed by purchasing AOL ad-free mail.
